	<description>The parish of Westward is in Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District. It is a rural community in a beautiful, and sometimes breathtaking environment. The parish is a collection of hamlets and is divided into the two electoral wards of Westward and Rosley. We are a vibrant community with many activities in the two village halls. The interests of the parish are represented by the members of the Parish Council</description>

 2. MINUTES<br />
  2.1 The Parish Council minutes from the 9th February 2009 were agreed and      signed.  <br />
  2.2 SIDs We are now in a group with Allhallows, Caldbeck and Sebergham, hopefully to    be in operation by the beginning of June.<br />
  2.3 New Tesco Store, Wigton extra traffic- ongoing  <br />
  2.4 Damage to seat – Red Dial to Wigton Now repaired and back in place<br />
  2.5 Highway Steward – copy of his rota to be given to each councillor</p>

  4.1 The Financial Report as at 31st January 2009 was considered and approved.     Current account stands at £3558.50 and reserve £3562.57.  <br />
  4.2 Accept Chairman sign accounts for District Auditor </p>

    R.S. Left the meeting and a short discussion followed. B.B asked clerk to      write to Allerdale Borough Council about refusing planning permission.</p>

   8.1.1 M.G has asked for reflectors posts on the verge Oak Bank, Curthwaite<br />
    Clerk to get in touch with highways again<br />
    Rosley Play Area – a request for funds for sign age. Agreed to give £100<br />
   Salt Bins Agreed to buy two this year.   Signposts update – FS said the     top Rosley road had been done, work to start in June.<br />
   Dog fouling is still a problem, especially at Top Rosley and on the Craggs     road.  Clerk to write to Allerdale Borough Council regarding signs for dog    fouling.<br />
   Discussion about communication between meetings-would like to keep more    in touch between 3 monthly intervals, quick email or liaise with B.B.<br />
   Attended the meeting Parish Paths Initiative.</p>
